Girlscout Sign-up

Get the girls together for the girlscout-sign up coming up on August 27th. This event is for girls,ages 5-17 located in the Ahwatukee Foothills area. All of the program levels will be divided by grades. The event will be held at Desert Vista High School, from 1-3 pm. For all the Parents, they also are in need of volunteers, troop leaders, proffessional role models, and fundraisers, if you are interested. The High School is located at 16440 South 32nd Street. Love the Outdoors?

Well, then you need to be going to the 4th Annual 2005 Outdoor Recreation Expo, where they will have everything you want for your every outdoor excursion. There will be over 200 retailers,clubs, and organizations there selling all sorts of outdoorsy type things. There will be stuff for everyone, including the kids!
There will be fishing, hunting, shooting similators, kids fishing ponds,inflateable planaterium, wilderness survival tactics, wildlife exhibits and more.
They will also have some contests going on too.The World's Greatest Fishing Band will play on the 26th of August. The Arizona Open Turkey Calling Contest,on the 27th of August, Arizona State Elk Bugling Contest, Arizona State Suirrel Calling Contest, and the Phoenix Varmint Callers State Calling Championship on sun. Aug 28th. Anyone can come! Admission for the event is: $6 for adults, or $5 with a canned food donation, and children 12 and under are free. Adults 60+recieve $1 off admission on Aug 26th.
