What you get from Coaching

This week we thought that we would share what lies in our hearts and what coaching means to us. By learning what this process means to us, you just might be able to get a glimpse as to how we can enhance your life right now, and in the future.

By sharing with you what fabric coaching is made up of, we invite you to envision yourself benefitting from this powerful work whether that be through our up coming class located at Lifetime Fitness, or through coaching with us on a one on one basis.

To give you a little background, this material simply poured out of me early one morning, as I heard my trusty keyboard calling me with that sweet and gentle whisper. You know that tone. The one that says, --go ahead, write that down, share that one with those whom you care about. ---

I truly hope that you enjoy what it is that I have to share here and scroll down for my note. I thank you

Coaching Defined

Many people today in one way or another are in fact Life Coaches whether it be in the corporate sector, or in the development and advancement of one's personal life. Coaching has evolved to become a profession that helps people express their true potential. On a very literal level, Coaching is simply an advanced and specialized set of communication and relating skills, which helps clients define what matters most to them, and gives them the life skills to craft a deeply meaningful and fulfilling personal and professional experience.

Ultimately Coaching helps one focus upon what he or she most greatly desires to move towards, or possibly move away from.

In the early 80's, the first 'modern' coaches appeared. Articles and stories regarding coaching have been present throughout the media, (Newsweek, Oprah, Time, NBC Nightly News, Donahue, NY Times, The Times (London), and others) and both the corporate world, and the general public has become more aware that coaching isn't just about soccer or basketball, but is its own profession and available to everyone.

The Coaching Opportunity

Imagine meeting someone so interested in your well-being, so dedicated to your life fulfillment, success, ease, and happiness that they have studied for, prepared for, and dedicated a good part of their professional lives preparing to help you enhance your life.

Imagine this person to be success oriented, extremely positive, not needy in any way, independent, kind, authentic, integrity driven, and moved to serve you.

What if I told you that you could have an intimate, healthy, platonic relationship with this person, in that you don't have to be overly concerned about them, go to their birthday parties, always ask about them, or even know an extreme amount about their personal life.

What if told you that this person prepares on a weekly basis in that he or she strategizes for you, plans for you, and thinks of new, exiting, and invigorating ways to help you reach and grow and live a more fulfilling ease filled life.

What if I told you that this person wants and is willing to be on your team to help you flourish and grow?

How would you feel if I told you that this person will stand for your best, often demand and expect more from you than most, and will hold you accountable when appropriate, to you taking the action steps necessary to define what gives you the most energy in life, and to help you discard anything that drains you, pulls on you, or detracts from you reaching attaining, and realizing your life's goals, work and aspirations.

How would it sound if I told you that this person has dedicated hundreds and possibly even thousands of hours in real time training, programs, workshops, classes by phone, study guides, workbooks, and in person interaction to refine his or her communication skills, planning methodologies, assessment tactics, and learning constructs.

Would it intrigue you if this person was moved to ask you to start really telling the truth, to help you ask for more, or in some instances, way less and to be really true to yourself and those around you?

What kind of action would you be moved to take if this person asked you to partake in deep introspection and to clearly evaluate what type of people you surround yourself with, what environments you place yourself in, and what consistent theme runs through your life and the interactions that define and shape it.

How often would you be willing to talk to somebody who challenged you, supported you, believed in you, encouraged you, and yet, allowed you to be fully human, vulnerable safe, and successful at the point exactly where you are at in life.

What if I told you that these people are authentically walking their talk, and are in search of their own perfect lives?

All that I have described, is Life Coaching, and the process of coaching is both powerful and beautiful.
