The Healing Book Club

I feel my journey to reading really began on my eleventh birthday, when my parents enrolled me in a children's book club. The excitement of seeing new books each month, choosing some I liked, and then having them appear in our mailbox made a deep impression. My parent’s simple act not only planted the seed that led me to love books, and learning, but it also influenced the kinds of books I liked.

I can still picture the tattered covers of the books The Giving Tree by Silverstein and The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.

Later, the book Frederick by Leo Lionni was one of my favorite books that I chose, and I still read it from time to time. It's the story of a field mouse who, by sharing his experiences, warms the hearts and feeds the spirits of his fellow mice.

That is the sort of relationship we try to have with all of our members At Living Inline and it is in this spirit that we gratefully announce the beginning of the Living Inline Healing Book Club in which we all get to share our favorite books, learn new things, meet special people and join together on a monthly basis.

At the Living Inline Healing Book Club we will bring our members ideas from the world's traditions in a range of categories, including works on health, personal development, spiritual growth and self-discovery, and guides to nurturing creativity, and alternative health solutions from both established practitioners and pioneers.

Every day at Living Inline we have an opportunity to explore topics ranging from the latest advances in holistic heath to centuries-old practices that focus on the power of making healthy choices, and living empowering lives.

We warmly and openly welcome you to join the brand new Living Inline Healing Book Club and share this fantastic, uplifting, educational and joyful experience with us.

We are proud to share that our new team member, Dr. Vanda Corbett will be facilitating these meetings as she brings to the table her own journey of growth, advancement and life experience.

There is no charge for these events and this Healing Book Club is absolutely open to the community and we enthusiastically welcome those who are not yet familiar with Living Inline and all that we do.

We are excited about this new monthly event and we look forward to seeing you!

The first night will be a book review, as we will be reviewing the fascinating
book:

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Here is an incredible excerpt from this special book:

“Everything we do is based on agreements we have made—agreements with ourselves, with other people, with God, with life. But the most important agreements are the ones we make with ourselves. In these agreements we tell ourselves who we are, how to behave, what is possible, what is impossible. One single agreement is not such a problem, but we have many agreements that come from fear, deplete our energy, and diminish our self-worth.”

In this powerful book that has remained on The New York Times Bestseller List for over two years, don Miguel reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. When we are ready to change these agreements, there are four deceptively simple, yet powerful agreements that we can adopt as guiding principles. The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.

This fantastic book can be easily found at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon.com and most possibly from your neighborhood library as well.

There is no charge for these events and this Healing Book Club is absolutely open to the community and to those who are not yet familiar with Living Inline.

We are excited about this new monthly event and we look forward to seeing you!
