MURPHY’S OPINION
Murphy’s Law or Opinion? Murphy's Law ("If anything can go wrong, it will") was born at Edwards Air Force Base in 1949 at North Base.
It was named after Capt. Edward A. Murphy, an engineer working on Air Force Project MX981, (a project) designed to see how much sudden deceleration a person can stand in a crash.
One day, after finding that a transducer was wired wrong, he cursed the technician responsible and said, "If there is any way to do it wrong, he'll find it."
The contractor's project manager kept a list of "laws" and added this one, which he called Murphy's Law.
I looked up this old law/ adage for I was really curious where the consciousness comes from.
I was curious, for Murphy’s Laws couldn’t be further from the underlying philosophy that we embrace at Living Inline through our hands on care and through our life coaching.
We tend to see the order in things, the message in things, and the beauty behind the rhythms of life. Typically, what we find is that if someone is expecting “ Murphy’s Laws” to apply to them, they will be right.
In other words we candidly believe that what one focuses on definitely affects his or her outcomes, experiences and results.
If one lives from a place of “ cause” instead of living from “ effect” he can take responsibility for the situations in his life, and also expect the best that life has to offer.
We are not recommending you become “ polly-anna-ish” but rather look for the links in life for life leaves us clues as to why things are generally the way they are in life.
I believe that Murphy’s law, should be changed into Murphy’s opinion, for Murphy expected for things to go wrong, and sure enough, he was right.
Now we ask you, what do you expect?

LIVING INLINE BALANCING SESSION BASICS
Healing crisis & Retracing- a brilliant piece by the famous Dr. Jensen
"Diseases normally disappear from within outward, and in the reverse order of their coming."
A healing crisis typically comes at a time when a person feels at their best and the body has built up a certain amount of energy, required to perform the task of elimination of toxins. At the time of a healing crisis the organs of elimination are said to be working in good order.
Manifestations typically include:
- Pain,
- Fever,
- Discharges in organs of elimination e.g., bowels, lungs, skin, nose etc.,
- Perspiration.
Healing Crisis vs Disease Crisis
"It is rare that the average doctor is trained to tell the difference between the healing crisis and a disease process. Though usually the manifestations are similar, a healing crisis is brought about through an accumulation of health in the body, and the active healing power carries the person through. It is difficult to accept the fact that a healing crisis comes right after a patient is feeling his best. Invariably a patient says, "I have never felt so well in my life." This is the time when you can may expect the crisis and is the time when the crisis can do its best work.
"It takes energy to eliminate wastes, to go through these eruptions, whether boils, rashes, or pimples. It is only through the ascendancy of an inherent power to eliminate that we can accomplish what we do in a healing crisis.
"One crisis is not always enough for a complete 'cure'.
The person in a chronic state, who has gone through many disease processes in his life, must go through these disease processes again in the reverse order in which they occurred.
". No matter what system we use, if we can possibly bring about these healing crises, we are working for the patient's higher good.
"In looking over the whole process, consider that disease is an eliminative activity of the body. If we believe that the body is consistently trying to remain well, we believe that even the process of disease is an eliminative process; and we should do little to interfere because the body is fighting for supremacy over the disease. It is well to know that even disease can be looked upon as a 'cure' by allowing it to run its course and by giving the body every opportunity to recover of its own accord."
Bernard Jenson, The Science and Practice of Iridology.
About Fever
"While in the past it was considered dangerous to have a fever and anything to get rid of the fever was considered sound practice, now we find it helpful to induce fever.
"Many of the schools of thought who formerly advocated suppressing fever, are today changing their ideas and are using fevers as a help towards getting a person well."
Suppression of Symptoms
Suppressive treatments are those that eliminate symptoms without acknowledging the cause of the problem.
"Much ill-health, particularly in adults, is merely a manifestation of the condition known as auto-toxemia or self-poisoning. From the moment of birth, food is taken into the alimentary canal with never a respite for the overworked organs of digestion. Debris begins to accumulate faster than it can be eliminated. "
"Unwanted nutriment is stored away in reserve as fat, but sooner or later a radical cleansing effort has to be made by the body to rid itself of accumulations of waste products, and many so-called "diseases" are simply the outward and visible signs of this inward cleansing process.
"Unwanted organic matter which incidentally provides a favourable soil for infection by micro-organisms, is removed in various ways and all the organs of elimination are used -- bowels, kidneys, lungs and skin. Catarrh and eczema are examples of such an operation involving elimination through the mucous membranes and skin."
Suppression leads to degeneration
"No attempt should be made to SUPPRESS such symptoms. To do so only invites trouble of a more serious kind in the future.
"In fact the suppression of symptoms is responsible for some of the degenerative diseases in later life e.g., rheumatism. Rather, we should assist the body in its periodical spring-cleaning and this can best be done by a period of rest and warmth and the lightest of diets. In fact, abstention from solid foods for a short period can make an important contribution."
